Making money blogging really isn’t all that difficult, but it will take some concerted effort on your part, and it probably won’t happen overnight either!

If you’re just starting out I would suggest you set-up a Blogspot blog. They are free and easy to monetize. Blogspot, also called Blogger, is owned by Google so setting up AdSense is really a snap.

The very best way (I think) to make money online is by setting up a hosted WordPress.org blog. It’s widely felt that a hosted blog gets more “respect” from the search engines (you want the search engines to like your blog!!) If you feel you can’t afford the $10.00 it costs for hosting than a Blogger blog or any of the other free platforms is the way to go.

Hosted or free you will need to create content for your new blog. The easiest way to create this content is to blog about a subject you know well, or are even an expert in. This will limit the amount of research you have to do (very time consuming!) and make your content creation flow quickly and smoothly.

Also in the first stages of choosing your niche you should try to get into your future visitors heads and figure out just what it is you’ll be able to sell to them. You want to make money right? Then as an Internet Marketer and blogger this should be your ultimate goal (and deserves a good deal of thought.)

So you want to work from your home and make some extra money online? There are many ways to accomplish this, but I think starting your own blog is the best way! This way you will have an online presents, and will have to do some writing, (which you had better get used to.)

Choose a niche you have a passion for and your visitors will see this and those that share your passion will become regulars at your blog-part of your online community. Then you work within this community to build relationships, perhaps partnerships, or joint venture opportunities, or at least sell them that “thing” they want and/or need.

Try to enjoy your time online, don’t get obsessive about it, just keep plugging away at it and in time success will come. Think about starting several blogs in different niches, so all your eggs are not in one basket. Who knows this could very well be the start of something big!

I am writing this Unique Article Wizard Review to make sure you will not let the ugly website scare you away without realizing what a treasure this tool is. It’s one of the most powerful tools an internet marketer can have on his tool belt.

What is it that makes this tool the weapon of choice for winners? This tool helps you discover the hidden source of targeted traffic. Traffic that unearths eager buying customers, drives them straight to your site and literally explodes your profits almost overnight. It also creates thousands of back links pushing your site higher in the search engines and it can easily establish you as the expert in your niche.

The end result of using this tool is simple: “more visitors + more credibility = more sales and much more profit”. Isn’t that really the end goal for everyone?

But how? What does it do? It’s simple. It uses a method that we all know and many are using with great success. It uses article marketing. But it’s more like article marketing on steroids. Simple and very powerful. Using this tool will both save you weeks and months of hard work and it will get you all the highly targeted traffic you need.

You most likely know that even though article marketing is simple and might sound easy it actually requires a lot of work if you are to be successful. To really score on search engines you need to provide each article directory with a unique copy of your article and that means hours of rewriting. Many use article spinners but that still means some rewriting since part of the new spun article will always be a bit messed up. Luckily for you, these problems and hard work will disappear when you use the Unique Article Wizard.

I’m serious, using Unique Article Wizard almost feels like magic. I write an article, then, using an easy step-by-step wizard, I put it into the UAW website and with a few clicks it creates 100′s of unique quality articles for me to use. But that’s not all. It also submit unique copies to hundreds of blogs, article sites, rss directories and more. Yes.. it feels like magic!

You have the option of sending your articles to all the destination sites in one go – or you can set up staggered submission and spread out your submission over days or even weeks

And there’s more. You can even preload articles into this online system and set a future date for your articles. The tool will then submit them on the dates you set for each one. This is perfect when on a vacation or just to streamline the process of publishing your articles.

Like I said, this tool is a real treasure chest. I know that the website isn’t the best looking one but getting past that will perhaps be the best thing ever happened to you online. Use it consistently and you will become a winner!

Now that you have read some of my thoughts on this amazing tool I know you want more. Check out my full Unique Article Wizard Review for all the details. If you want to jump straight to making sales and profit then make a visit to the Unique Article Wizard Website, just remember, ugly site but awesome content!

If you are wondering what happened to day 14 it seems to have been pulled from the thirty day challenge. I believe day 14 was about setting up a Tumblr blog but unfortunately we seem to have had a deja vu from last year where Tumblr deleted everyone’s blogs. Because sites like Tumblr and the many other hosted blogging and site building systems are subject to spam they can have very strict guidelines. In the case of Tumblr they do not want people to be using their service as a marketing tool therefore it’s best to ignore their service and move on, there are so many alternatives that it isn’t a big deal.

Day 15 is about setting up a Weebly site. You will start to see over the next few days that it’s all about putting up as much content as possible all over the internet pointing to your own site. By putting content on well established “authority” sites and linking to your own site you are building a lot of trust with the search engines therefore improving your rankings.

Day 13 is another relatively short day but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be doing anything. Every chance you get you should be researching your market and creating unique content on your blogs, Squidoo lenses, HubPages or wherever and then bookmarking your content.

Ed just does a quick overview of Google Analytics and how you can monitor your traffic. Google Analytics can tell you a wealth of information and is an extremely powerful tool. The best way to learn how to use it is just to spend time pushing all the buttons and seeing what they all do. Some of the important things you will want to look at is the search traffic data and what keywords people are typing in to the search engines to find your site.

Think about this, if you are getting traffic for a particular keyword and you are ranking say 26 imagine what would happen if you managed to rank in the top 10 considering only 2% of people click on the second page of results.

A good idea is to check the sites ranking above you for those keywords using the SEO tool for Firefox and determine if you think you can outrank them. Look for sites no older than 3 years with few back links as they will be easy to out rank.

If you aren’t receiving traffic and your site is indexed then you may need to re-evaluate your keyword and target something with less competition. The worst thing you can do is keep promoting a keyword which isn’t performing. Don’t be afraid to go back to the drawing board and start your market research again.

If your site isn’t indexed then you need to get more back links, it’s as simple as that. Building a Squidoo lens and social bookmarking it should get your site indexed in 24 – 48 hours max.

You will also learn a method for tracking affiliate links using another service provided by The 30 Day Challenge team. You can access it by going into your 30 Day Challenge dashboard and scrolling down you will see a link on the left hand sidebar titled ‘TDC Stats Tracker’ or clicking here www.thirtydaychallenge.com/tracking/viewtrackers.php

All you need to do is click the new URL button and paste in whatever affiliate link you wish to track. You will then be provided with a URL which looks like this http://locatereviews.com/2052517237 which will redirect to your affiliate link location. You will then be able to track how many times the link has been clicked on.

I use Google Analytics to track my affiliate links which provides more data and also allows you to use URL’s which match your site such as yoursite.com/more-info/affilliate-product.php rather than locatereviews.com/2052517237

To do this you need to create a text document on your computer and use the following code

Replace the link http://www.domain.com/affiliate-link with your affiliate link and replace UA-000000-0 with your Google Analytics ID.

Save the document as affiliate-product-name.php

You then need to create a directory(folder) on your site called ‘go’, ‘more-info’, ‘review’ or basically whatever you like and upload the file into that directory. You should now be able to load the file in your browser and it will redirect to your affiliate link.

Blogs are a great way for new people to internet marketing to get a site up and running and easily add content without having to know HTML. Search engines love blogs as they come well configured right out of the box. WordPress is one of the best blogging platforms available and as it is free is an obvious choice for The 30 Day Challenge. In fact you are looking at a WordPress blog right now as I use it on this site in conjunction with Joomla which is a free open source content management system.

You have two options in regards to using your own hosting account which allows you to have your own domain name such as yourdomainname.com or using the hosting provided by The 30 Day Challenge which would look something like yourkeyword.topicster.com

Registering a Domain

If you are serious about starting an online business it is highly recommended to purchase your own domain. It only costs around $10 a year to register a domain so it isn’t going to break the bank and over time that domain will increase in value providing you continue to promote it. You also have full control over what content you add to your site and don’t have to be concerned with having your account deleted and losing all of your content if it is hosted elsewhere.

It is recommended that you add your main keyword to your domain. For example if the niche you are targeting is ‘titanium golf clubs’ then your domain name should be something like titaniumgolfclubs.com. If the domain you are after is taken do not add numbers i.e. titaniumgolfclubs123.com or dashes titanium-golf-clubs.com because that looks spammy to the search engines. Try something like titaniumgolfclubreviews.com or toptitaniumgolfclubs.com. Lastly don’t try and stuff too many keywords into your domain because that also appears spammy.

www.namecheap.com is the service I use to register my domains.

Hosting Your Site

Once you have your own domain you will also need to find somewhere to host your site. Hosting varies greatly in price depending on how much information you wish to store and how much bandwidth your site is going to use. Fortunately to run a blog you do not need a lot of space or bandwidth therefore a basic plan is perfectly OK. You can also upgrade your account at any time if you need to.

The hosting service which Ed recommends is www.hostgator.com which I also have used and highly recommend. The $7.95 a month plan is the recommended plan as it allows you to host as many domains as you wish however like I just mentioned you can go for the $4.95 plan if you only wish to have one site and upgrade at any time to add additional sites.

Installing and Configuring WordPress

Now that you have your domain and host set up you will want to install WordPress. You can install WordPress yourself by using Fantastico which you will find in cPanel or you can use the service which Ed recommends called WordPress Direct. The advantage of using WordPress Direct is that it installs several plug-ins and makes optimizations to WordPress which would otherwise have to be done manually. It also comes with 1,500 themes which you can choose from which again saves you from having to find and install it yourself.

The free subscription of WordPress Direct allows you to install up to 3 blogs and the paid service allows you to install up to 15. Most 30 Day Challengers wouldn’t require more than 3 blogs as you only need one per niche market therefore the free service is perfectly fine.

Summary of Day 6

WordPress is a great blogging platform and has been pretty much the industry standard system for affiliate marketers due to how well they perform in the search engines and the ease of use. If you are serious about starting an online business then I highly recommend getting your own domain and hosting account.

See you on day 7!

To promote your affiliate product(s) you will need to create content about your niche(s). This allows us to write blog posts and submit articles which will then be indexed by the search engines and hopefully result in some traffic. Today introduces a new feature of Market Samurai which will locate content related to your keywords to help you create your own content. Also if you subscribed to Google News feeds and/or Google Alerts then you should already have some info which you can create some content on.

Ed introduces a new tool from, yes you guessed it, Google, which allows you to easily make notes straight from your browser. The tool is called Google Notebook and you can get a plug-in for your browser here http://www.google.com/notebook/download

The goal for the day is to start writing some articles about 300 to 500 words long for each of your keywords. The more content you write the better but as a guide try and create at least ten articles.

Today’s Video’s

Find Article Content Using Market Samurai

GuruBob shows you how to use Market Samurai to find and analyze content on your keywords which you can then use to create your own content.

How To Write A Article

Ed shows you how to convert the content you have gathered so far using Google Reader, Google Notebook, Google Alerts and Market Samurai into your own content.

Summary of Day 5

As an experienced internet marketer I can tell you that becoming efficient at creating unique content is extremely useful as the more content you have the more traffic you can generate providing you are targeting the right keywords.

If English is not your first language or you really struggle to write content for whatever reason you can hire a ghostwriter to create the content for you.

See you on Day 6!
