30 Day Challenge 2008: Day 5 – Getting Some Content

To promote your affiliate product(s) you will need to create content about your niche(s). This allows us to write blog posts and submit articles which will then be indexed by the search engines and hopefully result in some traffic. Today introduces a new feature of Market Samurai which will locate content related to your keywords to help you create your own content. Also if you subscribed to Google News feeds and/or Google Alerts then you should already have some info which you can create some content on.

Ed introduces a new tool from, yes you guessed it, Google, which allows you to easily make notes straight from your browser. The tool is called Google Notebook and you can get a plug-in for your browser here http://www.google.com/notebook/download

The goal for the day is to start writing some articles about 300 to 500 words long for each of your keywords. The more content you write the better but as a guide try and create at least ten articles.

As an experienced internet marketer I can tell you that becoming efficient at creating unique content is extremely useful as the more content you have the more traffic you can generate providing you are targeting the right keywords.

If English is not your first language or you really struggle to write content for whatever reason you can hire a ghostwriter to create the content for you.

Wealthontap.com Has Been Reborn!

It’s been a long time since I posted here and have decided to breathe some life back into this site. I have been working on building niche sites with Joomla specifically concentrating on web 2.0 type community and review sites. Even though this site doesn’t receive a huge amount of traffic, only makes a few sales here and there and the domain name isn’t brilliant (it was the first domain I ever purchased and I really had no idea what I was doing, I had no idea that 18 months later I would be working full time as an internet marketer) it is now reasonably well aged and has decent PR so I thought it was worth trying to put it to better use, only time will tell!

This is now the third face lift this site has had, originally it was an “out-of-the-box” PIPS site which was my introduction to the world of internet marketing. It still uses the original PIPS newsletter however I will probably create my own in the near future.

The current design is called Populous and will be familiar to those who use Joomla and more specifically are members of the Rockettheme template club. The main site is built using Joomla 1.5.4 and this blog has been upgraded to the latest version of WordPress 2.6 prior to that I think it was 2.1 so was well due for an upgrade. Upgrade went relatively smoothly however I had the category issue that a lot of others had and considering I seem to have accumulated a lot of categories was a bit of a pain.

Since the theme was designed for Joomla I had to create a version for WordPress which I did using the Sandbox theme which is great for creating your own WordPress designs without having to build the theme from scratch. I removed all plug-ins and started again from scratch as they were all out of date. Here is a list of all current plug-ins running on this blog.

I also plan on adding the Random Posts plug-in as well as the Auto Social Poster plug-in and one other which has unfortunately just slipped my mind, oh thats right the Google XML plug-in which can be submitted to the Google Webmaster tool I haven’t done all that much research into the tool yet.

Perhaps in a future post I will list the Joomla plug-ins which I am running also.

I plan to make this site a review type site where I will research as many tools, memberships, ebooks and anything else related to home businesses and internet marketing as possible. I have already started to map out the sections of the site and as you will see I have a lot of work ahead of me!

Each opportunity, product or service will have a comment section where people who have used the opportunity, product or service can leave their own review and give it a rating. The goal is to provide people with an unbiased, honest review to aid them in making their decision.
