I was told or read (not sure by whom) that to make changes to the menu bar across the top of my site, I had to make changes in the customs.css folder/file. (I know nothing about custom.css)

I would like to possible create drop down menus in the menu bar across the top of my site, as well.

I'm referring to the Home, SFI, Empowerism, etc...

I'm thinking I may want to do both, so I'd like to know what is the easiest method for making these types of changes? And I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction, something that has "detailed" info and instructions for newbies.

I say that because what Ive found so far was either vague or was for advanced users of WP.

Also, how do I make changes to the menu in the sidebar? I tried to remove the forum, which I did. If you click on forum on my site the page does not exist. But I can't figure how to remove the word "forum" from the side bar menu.

Thanks!

CSS stands for cascading style sheets and as the name implies is only for styling. In other words it dictates how your content is displayed not what content is displayed.

When dealing with Wordpress any time a new page is added it will automatically be displayed in a menu. In regards to WP-PIPS 2.0 I have installed a plug-in which allows you to choose whether or not a particular page shows in a menu automatically. This allows you to place the link somewhere other than the default menu.

The new PIPS 2.0 site comes with drop down menus so perhaps you may want to switch? I am almost finished building it. A drop down menu is only possible if it has been coded into the theme ad I don't think it has been with the theme you have. There may be a plug-in which allows you to build drop down menus.

The menu in the side bar is actually a widget. If you do to Appearance -> Widgets and select sidebar in the drop down menu you should see the 'menu' widget. You can add whatever you like to this widget as it's actually allows any HTML.
