What is the 30 Day Challenge?

The thirty day challenge is a brilliant concept started by Ed Dale in July of 2005. The simple idea around the challenge was to make $1 online in one month using the marketing principles that Ed teaches. Ed charges absolutely nothing and although it is aimed at internet marketing “newbies” there are some pretty cutting edge marketing techniques taught as well for the more experienced marketers to learn from.

Ed Dale hails from that big desert down under they call Australia and has a typical Australian exuberance and sense of humor. He is obviously passionate about internet marketing and has a real genuine enjoyment in helping others establish themselves on the internet. You may be familiar with the “Underachiever Formula”, a highly successful system designed by both Ed and another well known internet marketer Frank Kern.

You may be thinking “$1 in one month? I want to make more than that if I am going to put in all this effort.” The thirty day challenge isn’t really about the money; it is about learning how internet marketing works and the underlying principles which ideas can stem from. If you can make $1 online then there is no reason why you can’t make $1,000, $10,000 or even $1,000,000. It’s just a matter of replication and leverage among other things.

So now we are at the third 30 day challenge which kicked off on the 1st of August this year. Don’t worry you can still sign up at any time during the challenge if you wish to take part. Things are a little different this year, Ed has upped the ante and now the requirement is $10 in thirty days. The focus this year is capitalizing on the power of Web 2.0 (social networking) and the technology surrounding it. If you want to learn more about Web 2.0 click here. Every technique taught this year is absolutely free so you don’t need to spend a dime to participate.

In my opinion I think the thirty day challenge is a brilliant system which internet marketers of any level can benefit from, already I have learned some pretty cool new techniques especially in regards to marketing with web 2.0.

So go along and sign up and follow my 30 day challenge journal where I will be outlining exactly what I have been doing and what successes (hopefully plenty) and failures (hopefully none) I am experiencing using the techniques Ed is teaching.

In the beginning of the post I am actually referring to the original 30 day challenge in 2003 which was as you probably know $1 in a month, as a bit of history. Further on in the post as you can see I mention this year it is upped to $10 and from the techniques which have been taught so far should be a walk in the park!

Thanks a lot for the link I gave your site a “digg”.
